South Indian Tea Market Report Week: 50 


South India Auction Offered Quantity

Cochin: - Good demand 

Dust : Better types were steady to easier USC13 to USC26. Medium and plainer types were barely steady to sometimes irregularly easier by USC7 to USC8 except PD which were irregularly dearer 

Buying pattern: Packeters, internals and exporters were active. 

Orthodox Leaf: Good demand. 

High Grown: High growns were barely steady to irregular irregularly dearer by USC8 to USC13. Medium: Medium types were dearer by USC8 to USC11 and sometimes more following quality, except OP which were barely steady. Buying pattern: Packeters internals and Exporters active. 


Coonoor 

Leaf: Good demand. 

Best types were barely steady to easier by USC4 to USC7. Bright liquoring tea wee easier by USC7 to USC9 except BOPL, BOPS which were steady to dearer by USC5 to USC8. Mediums were barely steady except for some blacker types which were dearer USC2 to USC5. Plainer types were barely steady while some inferior types were easier by USC5 to USC8 depending on quality. Buying pattern: Packeters, internals and exporters were selective.

Dust: Good demand. 

Best types were irregular. Bright liquoring types were steady to easier USC7 to USC9 while finer grades were irregular. Medium and plainer types were steady while finer types were easier by USC8 to USC11. 

Buying pattern: Packeters, internals and exporters were active. 

Crop: Upcoming week’s quantity is slightly higher
