Mediums –KTDA mediums were steady to easier by up to USC11 while plantation mediums lost up to USC43.
Lower Mediums – Met irregular interest at firm to USC17 dearer for some lines while more teas shed up to USC18.
Plainer – Were irregular varying between steady to USC14 dearer to easier by up to USC11.
PF1: Best – Varied between steady to USC14 dearer to mostly easier by up to USC16. Brighter – Were irregular ranging between firm to USC4 dearer to easier by a similar margin.
Mediums – KTDA mediums varied between steady to USC6 above previous levels to easier by up to USC5; plantation mediums ranged between USC6 dearer to easier by a similar margin.
Lower Mediums –Irregular varying between USC17 dearer to USC14 below last prices.
Plainer – Although some invoices were firm to dearer by up to USC14, most met reduced competition and were discounted by up to USC22.

PDUST: Best – Ranged between steady to USC16 dearer to USC11 below previous levels.
Brighter – Were irregular varying between firm to USC9 dearer to easier by up to USC8.
Mediums – KTDA mediums were steady to USC5 dearer to easier by up to USC4 while plantation mediums advanced by up to USC19.
Lower Medium –Met improved enquiry and appreciated by up to USC23.
Plainer – Were irregular ranging between firm to USC21 dearer to easier by up to USC12.
DUST1: Best – Were mostly steady to USC12 easier but a few lines advanced by up to USC16.
Brighter – Varied between firm to USC3 dearer to easier by up to USC6.
Mediums – KTDA mediums were steady to irregularly easier by up to USC16; plantation mediums saw improved competition and gained up to USC24 but a few lines lost up to USC8.
Lower Medium – Were firm to USC20 dearer. Plainer –Steady to USC14 below previous prices but some selected lines appreciated by up to USC10.
Secondary Grades (S1)Offerings: 26,390 packages (1.32m/kgs) –11.14% unsold. In the Secondary Catalogues, best BPs were firm while others were easier with PFs lower. Clean well sorted coloury Fannings were steady with similar DUSTs selling at last levels. Other Fannings held value with DUSTs firm. BMFs were readily absorbed.
Markets:
Egyptian Packers showed more support with Pakistan Packers, Bazaar, Afghanistan, Yemen and other Middle Eastern countries active but at lower levels. Kazakhstan and other CIS states lent selective activity with UK and Russia maintaining participation. Sudan showed reduced enquiry while Iran were quiet. Local Packers were less active while Somalia maintained interest at the lower end of the market.
